Facial Shapes 2
Eyes
The eyes are the focal point of the face. You
want to create a style that brings out the best in your eyes.
Wide Set Eyes.....
are found on a round or square shaped face. You minimize the shapes by lifting
or fluffing the top of hair and bang area. A side bang helps to draw attention
away from the space between the eyes.
Close Set Eyes.....are
found on long, narrow faces. Open the face with the illusion of more space
between the eyes. Style the hair high with a side movement. The hair ends should
turn outward and up.
NOSE SHAPES
Nose shapes are closely related to profiles. The Nose must be considered both in profile and full face.
Turned Up Nose....the
nose is usually small and associated with a straight profile. The hair should be
swept off the face creating a line from the nose to the ear. This will add
length to the short nose. The hair on top should move off the forehead to give
the illusion of length to the nose.
Prominent Nose....You
should draw attention away from the nose, bring the hair forward at the forehead
with softness around the face.
Crooked Nose....To
minimize the crooked nose type the hair in a off centered manner which will
attract the eye away from the nose. Asymmetrical styles are best. Any well
balanced hairstyle will accentuate the fact that the face is not even.
Wide Flat Nose....A
wide flat nose broadens the face. To minimize this, the hair should be drawn
away from the face. Also a center part tends to narrow the nose, as well
as draw attention away from the nose.
